Amelia S. Forsberg

Ms. Forsberg is a member of the State Bars of both California and Oregon.  She is also a registered patent attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.  She earned her J.D. from Lewis and Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon, with a concentration in intellectual property law.  Ms. Forsberg received her B.S. in Bioengineering from the University of California, San Diego.

Prior to joining Kokka & Backus, Ms. Forsberg spent five years as a patent and trademark attorney in Portland, Oregon.  She specialized in patent prosecution in a variety of fields including mechanical devices, medical devices, and consumer goods.  Ms. Forsberg also counseled clients in matters related to intellectual property disputes and managed the trademark portfolios of her clients.

While in law school, Ms. Forsberg held internships at the in-house office of a semiconductor company and at the Small Business Legal Clinic.  She has also managed the marketing and finances of a scuba diving company located on the Big Island of Hawaii.
